I am a classically trained and certified homeopath working in the Denver, Colorado area.

I received my education and certification with clinical training from the Colorado Institute of Classical Homeopathy in Boulder, Colorado.

I have studied with renowned homeopaths and authors; Dr. Luc De Shepper, Belgium/US; Dr. Nandita Shaw, India; Dr. Farohk Master, India; Richard Pitt, US; Alastair Gray, Australia; Miranda Castro, US.

As a classical homeopath I follow the comprehensive principles and guidelines laid out by the founder and developer of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnamann over 200 years ago

A brief history of homeopathy:

Samuel Hahnamann was a trained and practicing medical doctor before he turned away frustrated that he was not able to help people with the medical practices of the day. While transcribing medical journals he came across the theory that Cinchona bark was successful in treating malaria due to its bitter and astringent properties. Disbelieving this hypothesis he ingested Cinchona bark himself. Self experimentation was unheard of. He found the bark gave him identical symptoms of malaria and thus came the beginning of his research and development of a new scientific healing practice which he called homeopathy.

Principles:

The cornerstone that Hahnamann built homeopathy on was the "Law of Similars" first written about by Hippocrates. It was not a new idea but one he found to be extremely promising.

The 'Law of Similars' or 'Like Cures Like' is exactly what it sounds like; the principle that a substance when ingested by a healthy person will produces a certain unique set of symptoms which can cure the same set of symptoms in the sick.

Other principles which set classical homeopaths apart are:

One remedy at a time

Individualization, treating the person with a disease/illness based on their unique, individual mental-emotional-physical make-up.

Provings, testing a substance (homeopathically prepared) safely and scientifically to determine the action of a remedy

Minimum dose, remedies are highly diluted thus eliminating toxicity, reducing unwanted effects and reducing stress on the person thus promoting a healing response.
